Andrea has transported our geldings for us twice. From quote to contract to transportation, every aspect of the hauling was professionally handled. But more importantly, Andrea's calm, reassuring manner with the horses made for a stress-free experience. She is extremely concerned about their comfort and well-being and takes the time to ensure that they load without stress. Our boys received plenty of hay and apple snacks to make it a pleasant experience. Even our 2 year old PMU rescue, who had some bad hauling experiences, now loves to load for a trailer ride. I found Andrea and Daniel to be really honest people who have years of experience with horses and hauling. They delivered my two mares on time, and my horses arrived like they were not even hauled. I can highly recommend DnA Ranch & Hauling for horse transport. They successfully hauled my very green mare and 8 week old filly from Colorado to California. There was some concern whether or not this mare could be loaded into the trailer as she had had very little handling and the ranch owner wanted to use a chute to drive her into the trailer. Andrea called to say they had gotten her loaded without much problem, and the Rancher later told me he was impressed with her horse handling skills. Andrea called me along the route to give me updates, she arranged for overnight rest stops - unloading the horses, and stops during the day for rest and water. The mare and filly arrived in great condition. I have recommended DnA to friends and they have used her multiple times. I would only use DnA Hauling in the future - no worries and reasonable prices. Andrea hauled Journey and Dante for me when I moved and I was totally satisfied with the service. Dante had to ride loose and they were very careful with the transport. You can't go wrong and just let me assure you I'm so picky I sometimes am a bother to myself! I had the best hauling experience with DNA; my gelding an elderly TB came down from Washington to California via DnA. The first thing that struck me...no odor what so ever in the trailer - the water buckets were sparkling clean - the horses were clean & cool - the trailer was bedded so well with shavings. The tack compartment was so well stocked my mouth dropped open; wraps, liniments, washes, treats. One of my specific questions what is the procedure in case of an emergency? Who & how is contacted. They have connections with Vet clinics in advance of the haul. They unloaded at my place walked the other horses, cleaned the trailer, strip cleaned - fresh shavings - scrubbed the water buckets - groomed the other horses - and they handled the horses so wonderfully, well educated & experienced! This was not for show, this is what they do! I don't & won't use any one but DnA. I have referred them to my friends and not one complaint. Andrea I hope that you are home by now and tucked into bed sound asleep. I wish I could have talked with you more last night but at 2:00 in the morning I figured that you needed to get on the road. Fortunately I think you missed the rain. Thank you for delivering Bentley. I know that he was a handful to load but I guess they can't all be easy. Now I can be a reference if you every need one. I just moved here to Santa Ynez from Park City, Utah about a month ago - it was Andrea and her husband who brought my horses here for me. I have five, ranging in age from 22 to 2, and I honestly couldn't have been happier about the entire experience with Andrea. She was patient (with me as I changed my mind several times) and accommodating as we worked through deciding on a pick up plan, and excellent about keeping in touch as the pick up date approached. I was very impressed with their trailer - I'd had concerns about some of my bigger horses (17+ hands) being comfortable on such a long ride, but they assured me the trailer was built to accommodate draft breeds and they'd be fine. Sure enough, the trailer was as described, and had many very nice amenities (fans, extensive padding, mangers, etc.). Loading and departure went smoothly and quickly (despite the best efforts of my one hot head), and I was very comfortable with their calm, confident handling skills. The horses were on the trailer for about 14 hours, so another obvious concern of mine was that they'd come off the trailer dehydrated and exhausted - I was fully expecting to have problems that night or the next day with belly aches or something. In addition, after spending 12 years of shipping horses up and down the east coast to compete, I fully expected the higher strung horses to come off the trailer looking like they'd lost 200 pounds and needing a week of complete rest. I was totally thrilled with my horses' condition - both physically and mentally - when they were unloaded off of Andrea's rig. I can honestly say that's the best my horses have ever looked coming off of a long trailer ride. I attribute that to Andrea's very comfortable rig, and the fact that they all had hay and water in front of them all day, and were given multiple rest stops along the way. I had zero belly aches or injuries or anything of concern at all - and everyone was out playing and acting completely like themselves the very first day. In addition to being prompt, courteous and professional, Andrea and Daniel are just very nice people to work with.
